IC Board Setup... O,,o - i have the names and regions made up and i did an intro to each of the territories' descriptions. Rannehhhh... if you want to finish them off you can. I'll do the rules and the ooc boards if you think you can whip up the descriptions and sheet. xD north -> Akoria [hills and cliffs, where the creek starts] - Xiphiak Hills [along both sides of the river, small foothills stand, proudly overlooking the land] - Bodora Cliffs [slippery, mossy rocks give way to a dangerous waterfall] - Tree of Vorian [sprouting from within a cluster of old stones, this huge willow tree angles sideways over the river and surprisingly holds it's grip to the ground. it's a symbol of hope and the will to survive.] south -> Foraia [flat areas and water] - Dirjan Field [field covered in yellow grasses] - Lirelle Gardens [huge field of wildflowers and rare plants] - Kinane Pond [closest thing to a lake in the rp. breeding ground for pests like flies and mosquitos. rare plants grow here, some are poisonous. ] west -> Meroda [caves and waterfalls] - Wanderer's Bridge [large pile of rocks and sticks, like a beaver dam but bigger. slows down the flow of the creek, easy to walk over. main passage from eastern to western areas over the creek.] - Danore Falls - Rukorai Cavern [secret area located behind danore falls]
east -> Reusaa [thick forest and trails. ] - The Forest's Depths [pretty self explanatory. thick forest hides where the rest of overcast creek may lead to. very easy to get lost. the ghosts are said to live within the bark of the tall trees, and the wolf witch is believed to live somewhere deep within the forest where no one can find her. all but the curious are afraid to enter here.] - Takosa Clearing [random clearing in the forest, usually used for navigational purposes if one is to get lost] - Ruakad Stone [the forest opens into a small field covered in wildflowers. in the center stands a stone...]

The Plot... o: Overcast Creek slithers beautifully downhill from an unknown starting point into the territory where you have just arrived. Many have attempted to follow the river upstream to it's origin, but none have been successful. This is no ordinary creek, however, for it has a troubled history and a future that looks as grim as the rain that falls upon it's banks. The creek is a place of either fortune or misfortune. It is believed by most to be haunted because of the unusual rains that plague it's banks. It was named Overcast Creek because of this unusual trait. The territories that lay adjacent to this haunted stream are also plagued by the rain in the warmer months. Winter seems to be the only normal time of year, though the snow covers the creek in large, towering walls. Other territories surrounding the creek are subject to drought for most of the year, and a compatible medium between drought and flood is hard to come by.
Long ago a group of horses began to detest their king's psychotic government over them, and tried their best to rebel against his powerful rule. Seems reasonable, right? Though despite their courage and careful planning, they were easily defeated, and were exiled permanently from the king's royal territory.
When these horses began to settle in this place, a white beast appeared to them and said, "If you are to ever quarrel upon these sacred lands, a terrible curse will befall you, and you will be watched for the length of one eternity by the eyes of a world beyond the fires of hell". So the horses obeyed this strange white wolfess out of fear, and tried their best to stay peaceful in their new home.
But of course it couldn't stay that way for long. One night a young brute stole a foal from her mother and dragged her by a leg to a secluded area along the creek's banks. He would rape the young foal to her death that night. The next morning he sent the corpse down the creek and watched as the foal's blood painted the water red. Not long after her body disappeared under the current, the white wolfess appeared before the young killer and told him that he, along with his children and his children's children, would pay for this act of evil and disgrace.
After she had gone, the young brute found he could no longer see. He had been blinded by the wolf witch, and he staggered up the steep path from Overcast Creek to bring word of this back to the herd and to confess for his sin. Upon arrival, the mother of the foal wailed in fury and sadness and struck the colt down where he stood, slashing at his face and his neck, letting the ground drink his blood.
The very trails that the blind murderer had taken from the river are said by some to be cursed, so not many horses are brave enough to set foot on them for fear of their lives. Not so much as ten minutes after the furious mother had stricken down her daughter's killer, a rough and violent downpour scarred the land, drowning grass and turning soil into quicksand.
One month after the death of both the foal and her assailant, spirits came to the horses and began to speak to them. These ghostly horses were obviously the work of the wolf witch, and it didn't take long for speculations and rumors to circulate that the ghosts were there to kill them all and drive them off of the land.
The ghosts, however, were first seen along the creeks banks, and easily befriended younger horses as they began to extend their boundaries into other herd lands. The ghosts appeared in large numbers before a storm or a more serious disaster were to occur. They were placed there by the witch as a warning and a message to the herd, and to fulfill the prophecy she had given when they first came to the land.
To some, the ghosts were evil and only sought to destroy them. To others, they were like gods, placed there to guide them into the future. What they don't know is that the ghosts themselves choose whether or not to be good or evil. Their individual souls are their own. Some horses went so far as to give offerings of rare plants to the ghosts, placing them in the stream and letting them flow to the wolf witch, who they knew was always watching them.
Sacrifices were given to the ghosts by the obsessive worshipers, and the corpses were also placed in the creek for the witch to bring them good fortune and less rain. These sacrifices ranged from small forest creatures to other horses. This didn't do much, because the witch only laughed at them through lightning and thunder and pouring rain. She was amused, and she let the river flow rougher to wash the petty offerings away.
The sacrifices unleashed a rivalry between the worshipers, who had seemed to develop a cult to praise their divine ghosts, and the rest of the horses, who were only scared and angry. Soon it is planned that the worshipers must die so the killing and terror will end, and to this day they fight for their causes and their gods. All the while, Overcast Creek flows steadily, and the rain continues to fall.

...Okay so all the basic stuff is done. We can pretty much start advertising now if we want, but we can wait till after I get the logo and skin up too. I'm gonna steal msot of the codes from TH, cuz that's the most recent one i've done shit with, but here's my ideas for the skin: [this is more for me than it is for you xD]
- keep the space where the logo's supposed to go open, so i can put an image there whenever to display current news and what not. for example, a welcome message when we first open the site. then i'll put a logo above everything that'll be like... half the height of the one on TH so it's not obnoxious, but it still looks good.
- i'm gonna move the side tables to the right this time to see how they look. i'm getting bored of the left. xD
- most of the codes will be the same. i'm gonna have the word count and the little music deal. i'llm make sure it doesn't play automatically cuz that's annoying. xD
- new side table order: weather, staff list, music, population, word count, banner codes. no plot summary unless we can actually come up with a good one. then the order will be: plot summary ["hook"], music, staff list, weather, population, word count, banner codes.
- there will be a middle one-box table in the main header for ooc site news and current happenings in character. the image in the logo box will be like the headline.
- no off and on icons for boards. i'm gonan try to find a code to get rid of the side images on the thread lists cuz i've seen people use that before.
- background.... if i can't find out how to make the random box in the middle, i'll just do a stripe-down-the-middle kind of bg.
- credits will stay in the same place in the global footer.
- i'll post more if i think of anything, but this will for sure be done by the time school gets out for me. i'm guessing by either sunday night or the weekend after it'll be done and we'll be rping ans shit.
- RANNEH! xD... i suggest you look for anyone on furc or anyone you know that might be interested. i'll ask eagle if she has tome to come rp with us, and i'll give her a little break if she can't post as much as we can. xD
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA kay bye.
i did all this shit at school today. xD pretty badass, i know. >,,>

[blockquote][size=3][url=http://overcastcreek.proboards.com]The Path To Overcast Creek[/url][/size]
[size=1]The Path To Overcast Creek is a unique wild horse rpg set in a remote area, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. An ancient creek that snakes through the land is said to be cursed, and some horses that make their homes in the territories around it fear for their lives.
Long ago, when the first horses settled in the land now known as Overcast, a white wolf appeared to them and foretold a prophecy that would change their lives forever.
Overcast Creek lives up to it's name, for the rain pours down heavily in the summer, and snow piles high over the iced stream in the winter. Rarely do the clouds clear to show blue sky, and rarely do the horses forget why they have been plagued with the rain.
In addition to the strange weather patterns, Ghost Horses, said to be minions controlled by the Wolf Witch herself, roam the lands, interacting with the horses and appearing when they're least expected. Some ghosts are kind and seemingly friendly, and others are evil and greedy.
Some horses fear these ghosts, and worship them like gods so they may spare their lives. Others despise these Worshipers, and hunt them down so the ghosts may have no reason to haunt the land anymore.
The Hunters and the Worshipers are two clandestine groups hidden within the one herd that resides in the Overcast territory. They've gone beyond the point of reasoning with each other, and both groups seek to wipe out the other for the sake of the herd.
So, now it's up to you. Who's side are you on?
Member Benefits: - Members may play ghost horses at discretion of staff. - The Wolf Witch is a character in the ongoing plot, and members are allowed to play her [role switches every site season]. - POC is owned by experienced role players that like to think they know what they're doing. - Friendly staff are always around to help and can be easily contacted. - POC is open to all levels of rpers, but there is a word count minimum so each post still has some substance. - POC is fairly new, so members and staff members have many opportunities to gain high ranks in character. - The admins are open to suggestions to make the game more enjoyable for it's players.
Though The Path To Overcast Creek is just getting started, our plot is fun and full of possible twists and turns. If you're looking for that RPG that will welcome you and hold your interest, look no further.
